Purpose of the Study

The purpose of this study is to explore lived experiences surrounding coercive control, emotional trauma, suicidal ideation and experiences of safeguarding or systematic response. The study aims to raise awareness, encourage discussion surrounding trauma-informed approaches and better understand how individuals experience support systems during periods of emotional distress and crisis.

Participation is entirely voluntary.

Why Have I Been Invited?

You may choose to participate if you have lived experience relating to coercive control, emotional abuse, trauma, suicidal ideation or experiences involving safeguarding and support systems.

What Will Participation Involve?

Participation may involve:

  • answering open-ended questions

  • sharing personal experiences

  • participating in a confidential interview or written discussion

  • discussing experiences of emotional wellbeing, trauma or support responses
